Kel-Suu Horse Trekking Expedition & Nomadic Experience

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Manas International Airport, followed by a transfer to Bishkek. After a short rest, you will head to Ala-Archa National Park, located just outside the city. Here, you will enjoy a light hike through a beautiful mountain gorge, surrounded by alpine landscapes and fresh air, setting the stage for your upcoming Kyrgyzstan adventure. In the evening, return to Bishkek for a traditional dinner and overnight stay at the hotel, preparing you for the next day’s horseback expedition and a unique nomadic experience. This day is designed to help you relax after your flight and gently begin your journey.

Bishkek – Burana Tower – Chon-Kemin Valley

After breakfast, you will leave the city and begin your Kyrgyzstan adventure toward Chon-Kemin Valley. 

On the way, you will visit the historic Burana Tower, an important site from the Great Silk Road. You will also stop at a local place called “Apamdyn Kattamasy” to enjoy tea and traditional snacks. 

Upon arrival in Chon-Kemin, you will have lunch at a guesthouse before embarking on a guided horseback expedition through the valley. This is a light and enjoyable ride, perfect for beginners and a true nomadic experience. 

Dinner and overnight stay in a cozy guesthouse.

Chon-Kemin – Issyk-Kul Lake – Karakol

After breakfast, you will continue your Kyrgyzstan adventure toward Issyk-Kul Lake. 

You will visit the Kok-Moinok canyons for a short walk and photo stops, perfect for capturing memories of your nomadic experience. Later, enjoy lunch near the lake and, depending on weather conditions, a scenic boat ride on Issyk-Kul. 

In the afternoon, drive to Karakol, the cultural center of the region, where you can reflect on your horseback expedition. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel await you.

Karakol – Boz-Uchuk (Zhyluu-Suu) – Your Horseback Expedition Begins

After breakfast, you will drive to the Boz-Uchuk / Zhyluu-Suu area — the starting point of your Kyrgyzstan adventure and multi-day horseback expedition.

You will meet your horse guides, receive instructions, and begin your ride through stunning alpine landscapes. The route takes you to the beautiful Kol-Tor Lake, where you will stop for lunch.

Continue riding through remote valleys and mountains, immersing yourself in a nomadic experience, before reaching your camp.

Dinner and an overnight stay in tents await you.

Horse Trek – Archaluu Valley

Today, you will continue your horseback expedition deeper into the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. 

The route follows rivers, open valleys, and mountain passes, offering incredible views and a true sense of wilderness, making it a perfect Kyrgyzstan adventure. Lunch will be served in nature along the way, enhancing your nomadic experience. 

By evening, you will reach the Archaluu area, where you will camp. Enjoy dinner by the fire and spend the night in tents under the stars.

Horse Trek – Balyk-Suu

After breakfast, continue your horseback expedition across remote landscapes rarely visited by tourists. 

This day is all about immersion in nature — wide valleys, silence, and endless mountain views, making it a perfect part of your Kyrgyzstan adventure. The pace remains steady and suitable for beginners with support from experienced horsemen, ensuring a nomadic experience for all. 

Arrival in the Balyk-Suu area in the evening.

Dinner and overnight in tents.

Horse Trek – Chatyr-Tash

Today’s horseback expedition takes you further into the highlands toward Chatyr-Tash. 

You will traverse scenic terrain and experience the raw beauty of Kyrgyzstan adventure and mountain life. Lunch will be served along the route. 

In the evening, arrive at the camp for a unique nomadic experience. 

Dinner and overnight stay in tents or simple yurts depending on conditions.

Chatyr-Tash – Kel-Suu Lake

After breakfast, your final horseback expedition will lead you toward the stunning Kel-Suu Lake. 

This journey on horseback takes around 4–5 hours, guiding you through dramatic landscapes before unveiling the hidden alpine lake. 

Upon arriving at Kel-Suu, you will immerse yourself in a traditional yurt camp, enjoying a nomadic experience. Savor dinner and a peaceful evening in one of the most remote places in Kyrgyzstan, making it a memorable Kyrgyzstan adventure.

Kel-Suu Lake – Exploration Day

This day is dedicated to exploring the breathtaking Kel-Suu Lake as part of your Kyrgyzstan adventure. You will embark on a boat ride across the lake, walk along its dramatic cliffs, and have ample time for photography and relaxation. The scenery here is truly unique and unforgettable, making it a perfect backdrop for your nomadic experience. After a day of exploration, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in yurts.

Kel-Suu – Naryn – Bishkek

After breakfast, you will begin your return journey by vehicle. This Kyrgyzstan adventure continues as you drive through Naryn and along scenic mountain roads back to Bishkek. Lunch will be arranged on the way.

Arrival in Bishkek in the evening marks the end of your journey filled with unforgettable memories of Kyrgyzstan’s wild nature and rich nomadic experience. You’ll also have the chance to reflect on the incredible horseback expedition that showcased the region's breathtaking landscapes.
